Rohit Shetty Takes A Dig At Airport Looks And Celebrities Who Get Clicked While Doing Charity Work
In an appearance on a chat show, Rohit Shetty lashes out at celebrities who get clicked doing charity work.
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has always been unabashedly vocal when it comes to speaking on controversial topics. He doesn’t believe in mincing words and is usually very forthright about his views. So, on an appearance on the chat show, Social Media Star With Janice, the filmmaker didn’t hold back as he addressed a few interesting issues.
There are a lot of times when celebrities are clicked doing charity work, sometimes on the roadside, sometimes outside the temples. When this topic was brought up, Rohit asked, “Kaun karta hai aisa? Phone karenge tabhi maaloom padega na photographer ko, ki ‘bhai, main aaj yeh mandir ke baahar hai’. Kaise maalum padega?”
Not just this, Rohit also gave his two cents on the whole trend of airport looks of celebrities. “Ab uska kharcha alag ho gaya hai. Varna jab tak yeh photographers wahaan pohunchey nahin thhay ye log bolte nahin thhay ki main utar raha hoon plane se, tab tak toh sab chaddi-banyan mein hi jaa rahe thhay,” he lashes out, saying people have become too obsessed with these unnecessary airport and gym looks.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rohit is currently hosting the stunt-based reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 on Colors TV, for which he had shot in Cape Town, South Africa a few months ago. As for his films, he has his Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif-starrer Sooryavanshi ready, which has been looking for a release date for over a year-and-a-half now due to the Covid pandemic. Apart from that, he has also completed the shoot of his adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play, The Comedy of Errors, titled Cirkus with Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma. He also has Golmaal FIVE already announced with Ajay Devgn, but there hasn’t been any development on it for a while.
